Saturday, January 28, 2017 - Deep dark color. Big nose of dark red fruit.
Raspberry and blackberry at first with spice and just a bit of leather following. This is a hint of camphor mixing in on the earthy finish which goes in for a long time. The texture is incredibly rich with fine tannins coating the mouth. The balance is wonderful.
This wine is big but so elegant. Through all the cascade of flavors the fruit never goes away.
One of the best LC I have had.
This wine is in its prime but I wouldn't be surprised if it lived for many more years. But why take a chance.
