Saturday, July 17, 2010 - Decanted and poured, this wine required about a half hour in the decanter to show its best. The aromatics develop a wonderful mix of slate, stone, oyster shell, mineral, floral and lemon notes. The color is a medium yellow and appropriate for the wines age. The medium bodied palate shows balance and definition. Oyster shell and stone notes make an appearance on the finish. They combine with the acidity to give the wine a balanced, nuanced finish. This is at or around its peak.
