Saturday, January 21, 2012 - At home with ex-Nobu chef Tom Bascon: Popped and poured. Color was a little darker than expected, nose was intriguingly funky. First sip, uhhhmmmm, something's off here but not obviously so. Second sniff and sip, still not quite sure what is wrong but certainly all not right. Gave this wine a chance for about 5 mins, after which the hard decision to replace with another (Boyer-Martenot Puligny 'Caillerets' 1999). Clearly premoxed after half an hour in the glass...sorry it took so long.
