Sunday, January 8, 2012 - I just popped and poured but an hour or 2 decant would have been a good call as the oak was up front for about an hour then slowly this settled into a classic Rioja with cherry, earth, raspberry and spice flavors. The nose is relatively unevolved yet. Maybe a decant would have helped the nose? This is very fresh at 10yrs and should benefit from addl 3-5yrs. I'll wait at least 3 for btl #2.
