Monday, March 5, 2012 - A slight bricking and translucent rim to this wine. Sweet vanilla and spec on the nose with some bright cherry notes. In the mouth it tastes rich and round, but has just enough acidity to feel light and refreshing, quite a long finish. You can just about taste the start of its evolution, it hints at leather and tobacco. Some fine tannin still left to resolve, but that just gives it a little appealing grip which also balances the ripeness of the fruit. Very tasty and may need to up the supplies of this wine, it will last for some time.
