Unfortunately, this bottle was back to my experiences some years ago where acrid oak paints everything in a sickly cotton candy kind of sugary sweetness and leaves a bitter rather than harmonious finish. The next day this was greatly improved so I think there's reasonable expectation that every bottle of this will eventually come into balance, it's just that some seem to have already done so while others are not there yet.
