Saturday, December 12, 2020 - Opaque darker garnet with some lightening at the edges. Nose of dark earthy cherry, voluminous high pitched floral notes, a bit of asphalt. Layers of deep-seated cherry, ringing dark red plum, leathery notes, and holiday cake spices on the palate. Freshening acidity and furrowed, textured tannin leading to long finish of earthy red and black fruit overlying dusty depth. Nicely done and very much alive.
