Thursday, March 22, 2007 - DOMINUS VERTICAL DINNER (160 Blue - Chicago, IL): Aromatic nose of currants and smoke is so dense it smells 'textured'. Big and brawny. A prodigious amount of fruit and unmistakably California on the palate. Savoury tannins add complexity. But this hasn't developed the secondary notes of the older wines in tonight's vertical. (4+14+18+9=95).
