Monday, December 19, 2022 - 2009 red Burgundies, TDS x CMJ (Chicago, IL): Modest hints of black fruit on the nose, which never really came around over the course of the whole evening. Very chewy and large-scaled, this is pretty much a bottle of tannin. It softened a bit, but never really developed much aromaticity. A wine that delivers very little pleasure right now; maybe in 15 years?
