Thursday, November 9, 2017 - 2017 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/9/2017-11/14/2017 (Villa D’este, Lake Como and Milan): Medium expressive nose displaying dense black fruit, blackberry, a hint of strawberry jam, rose, roasted cep, oolong tea, sap, mocha and earth. Excellent concentration, packed blackberry, a hint of stem, good acidity and mineral, and a long deeply toned finish that resonates with blackberry and mocha. Although enjoyable, the opulent fruit has subsided a bit and mineral has emerged. Need another decade to reach the peak.
