Saturday, October 14, 2023 - Double decanted for corkage. The wine was so fragrant that I couldn’t help taking a sip while double decanting it. Pronounced aromas of dried raspberry, red and black cherry, violet, ripe stem, and forest floor. Medium+ acidity, medium fine-grained tannins, round texture, and long, savory finish with a streak of Chinese five spices. Great wine, and my only nit is that the flavor concentration on the palate didn’t quite match my admittedly high expectations which were reinforced by the nose.
