90 Points

Monday, October 19, 2015 - Appearance: Clear wine with a pale lemon colour and golden reflections.

Nose: Clean nose with a pronounced intensity. This wine is developing.

A beautiful collection of aromas - really fruit driven with white peach, pear and lemon jumping out of the glass. There is some smoke from the ageing in French Oak and a real nutty finish to the nose. Gorgeous.

Palate:
Dry
Medium acidity
Medium alcohol
Medium+ intensity
Medium body
Medium+ finish

Firm and smooth on the palate with a good intensity of flavour. Pear, peach and nuts are prominent with a firm backbone and a round, smooth body and finish. Acidity is dropping slightly but is still in balance.

Excellent quality Chardonnay from Marlborough, New Zealand. Can drink now but has the structure for another year or so of development. At 26 euros a bottle, expensive for a wine in Spain but good QPR!
