Saturday, September 30, 2017 - Seven hour decant. A touch of good funk on the nose. Alcohol up front but fades. Initial impression is where is this sweetness coming from? Eventually, it takes its place though. Rhubarb, cherry, strawberry, spice, no sulfur, no wood, clean, pure. Tannins fully resolved. This is drinking very nicely now, although, if you continue to cellar, it should mellow even more. It does have further evolution in front of it. Drinking window 2017-2025 and may keep beyond.
