Thursday, April 26, 2018 - Been in the glass for an hour. I pretty much agree with Keithakers in that I see his Côte-Rotie notes. Nose is meaty, wet iron, smoky, bell pepper, apple, raspberry, pinesap, almond paste, leather, violets, roses, cherries, plum, fig, tobacco. Drinking a bit thin on the fruit side, sour cherries, tannin, oak, leather, aware of the alcohol, saline, dark chocolate. The nose would have taken me to Burgundy but drinking it I would not been able to guess even. Nose is great, drinking, so so. Would not buy again based on this bottle. I would give the nose 90 but drinking lower. Maybe I don't know this wine well enough, I see someone thinking the drinking window takes us into 2040....do not see this wine coming around...
