Monday, February 28, 2011 - Beautiful deep ruby colour that extends all the way to the rim. Nose is of cherries, violets, licorice and hints of deep, dark chocolate. Fruit forward, but with nice acidity and some minerality keeping it from being anywhere close to jammy. Lovely texture and quality tannins give way to a nice lengthy finish. Beautiful and voluptuous, a nice balance between old-school and new-school.
