This is a wine of massive, tannic, terroir driven structure, that also features the supreme nobility of Cabernet Sauvignon. What is your definition of 'flat'? It appears you appreciated the Andrew Will Champoux far better, which features much more fruit than this wine, and made in a New World style. This Fidelitas Champoux is all about terroir, minerality, and earthiness; to be sure, 'flat' this is decidedly not.
