It is not layered or complex, but more time in bottle has settled down the oak and brought out some really nice maraschino cherry flavor. The fruit seems much more pure than I remembered. On the roof of the mouth after swishing around for a few seconds, there is even some Mt Morency tart cherry mashed with a little bit of sugar. The more I swallow, the more I like the flavor.
