Monday, August 10, 2020 - Notes of cherries and meat. Very intense fruit framed by fine tannins. The ripe medicinal cherry and licorice character is very 2003. It is not a profile that I care for, but this wine is undeniably long. This bottle can endure a lot of oxidation. It was vibrant and more pliant from the re-corked and gassed bottle days later.
