Saturday, May 28, 2016 - Served with pan fried soft shell crabs, angel hair pasta, herb aioli, fresh baby kale. Decanted half the bottle 30 mins before serving. Moderate deep yellow. Initial strong presence of resin, aged citrus in nose, rich on tongue. With air and warmth wine opened up to be a delightful expose of floral and fruit nose and clean and fresh palate, refining the richness first noted. Really fine balancing act and a delight to get the sense of the semillon dancing with the SB. Peach & pear and then herb and lemon curd and acidity, petrol & resin now more underlying the fruit, good length and thoroughly enjoyable. Inspired me to open a sauterne for dessert--that was fun.
