Saturday, July 20, 2019 - Really incredible how these age when they are kept for 10 years and forgotten about. That was the case with this one, and it was really enjoyable. Served blind, this was getting all kinds of guesses from vintage Krug to Bollinger LGA to Cristal even. This champagne starts very fresh and vibrant on the front. Lemon and lime, acidic, a little tart. Towards the finish it gains a nice nuttiness with some brioche. Perfectly balanced however with bubbles that are starting to fade. After being told this was 10 years in holding on a non vintage, I am really surprised that the bubbles were still as present as they were. Just goes to show you the power of this producer!
