Sunday, December 28, 2014 - Beautiful Barolo, drinking close to peak now but with many more years ahead of it. Double decanted at 10 am for 8 pm dinner. Silky, plush, with resolved tannins and lovely fruit. Strong finish.

4/25/2019 5:15:00 AM - I, like you (it seems), am a huge believer in decanting/breathing. I notice you gave this a very long decant. We will be serving this at an event next week and I was wondering if you still felt it needs that long of a decant? It has been 5 years since you had it...thanks, any insight is welcome!

4/25/2019 10:34:00 AM - Thanks for the comment. I would treat the wine the same today. Maybe cut the period of slow-o by a couple of hours, depending on how it tasted on opening. Good luck!
