Monday, October 21, 2013 - Retailer tasting: Beautiful, complex and clean bouquet with herbs and spices. Very juicy on the palate with a good balance between sweetness and acidity and round tannin. The wine is much more ready than last year. Early maturity now.

If it had developed for the better I would have scored it a point (or two) higher, but in fact it became much more mature over the last year than I expected. Could be the bottle of course, but it came from the same resource. Does this make sense to you?

You enjoyed this bottle much more than you did the one you drank a year ago, but you did not think the wine itself was any better. It was more mature and drinkable, but no more complex or interesting. Is that about right?
