95 Points

Wednesday, October 26, 2022 - Bottle opened at 5:00, decanted at 6:15, tasting began at 7:00. Clear deep dark garnet-blood red color. Brooding bouquet of mixed black, blue and red fruits and their liqueurs; fennel; cigar humidor; violets, lilacs, bay leaf, forest floor. Similar on the palate, seamless, full body, beautiful balance, rich and generous, not too heavy. The best of both worlds: exuberant Napa fruit with the refinement and balance of Bordeaux. Splendid showing.

11/7/2022 8:49:00 AM - There's certainly no need to wait any longer on this wine, but there's no rush, either. Those who enjoy a more evolved claret can wait as long as they want; the rest of us can enjoy it now. How's that for a noncommittal answer? :)
