Wednesday, November 4, 2009 - Outstanding bottle of wine. Great density and concentration. Deep garnet color. Not showing the 10 years of age. After 2+ hours in decanter, some slight bricking. This is a powerhouse, but understated at the same time. Nose of black fruit, plum, smoke, char and pencil lead. With time, secondary notes of dark bitter chocolate and coffee developed. Well integrated fine tannins coat well. Slightly bitter on the back end of the palate. Good acidity. Finish is strong.
