Tasted October 1, 2005 at an offline so brief comments only. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel Restaurant Series Bordeaux stem. Dark purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of green beans did not bode well early on for this wine. However, that gave way to notes of pepper, leather, spice and lush dark fruits. Flavors of plum, chocolate and cassis. This turned out to be one of my favorite red wines of the evening. This wine seems to just be entering it’s drinking window and the solid structure here tells me this thing could go another 15 years. Recommended.
