Monday, August 4, 2014 - Still awesome, but has evolved a lot this past year. Each of the different grape varietals seem to be "competing" this go around - if that's possible. Made for an interesting couple of hours of tasting. Not as flamboyant and lush as in the past, turning more elegant, tannins well integrated. Still tons of dark fruit, spiciness, granite, some forest, herb, and touch of oak. Smooth, with a long, long finish. The mature plateau has been hit. Best over next 3-5 years, but drink by 2023.
