Tuesday, August 18, 2015 - Had this wine in my cellar for 8 years and finally decided to open. The wine pours a very deep red with very little legs on it. On the nose, the smells leap out of the glass with notes of oak, courant, berries, ,little bit of smoke as well. On the palate, the wine is silky smooth with hints of oak that just linger on the finish and the berry, courant flavors just jump ahead. The alcohol level seems pretty high on the palate but could be because of the age of the wine. All in all a delicious wine from phelps this is my first time having the wine and hope to enjoy over the course of the night
