Wednesday, April 13, 2016 - Decanted for only 30 minutes before first taste. Initially, in addition to the beautiful red cherry and licorice aromas, this had a whole lot of leather, earth, and savory aromas. Over time, the wine took on weight and sweetness of fruit, and became more silky. Very little tannin at this point and enough acidity for balance, but I'd drink up over the next 1-5 years. Would likely hold for another 10, but won't likely improve much, IMO.
