Sunday, May 3, 2020 - Dark crimson color still. Has a solid nose of cassis and cedar. Cassis on the palate, quite soft with some leather notes along with cedar. On the soft side, acidity mostly integrated. Just a hint of oak tannin on the finish. Seems fully mature to me. Will evolve but doubt it’ll improve. I don’t suspect this will go off a cliff either, but I probably would have preferred it to have more acidity. Plenty of fruit though and no suspicion of drying out.
