Monday, July 6, 2020 - These Clarendon Syrahs will last forever it seems. Even after a two hour decant, this 12 year old wine is still, to my taste, too rambunctious. It needs more cellar time to tame the intense structure. Opaque, nearly black, red color. High acidity and tannin and dark black fruit, blackberry and black raspberry with a rough, still unbalanced finish. Only 14.5 ABV. That is hard to believe.
