Monday, March 19, 2012 - I struggled with this one a touch - quite severe tannins and it has a tang about it that you only seem to get with cheaper red wines - kind of alcohol meets very red fruit. I am no averse to more austere and rustic wines, but I'm not sure this is anywhere near as good as the Domaiine Escausses Gaillac which is a very similar style to this.
