Saturday, January 25, 2020 - Same btl as R&Rler tonight. Semi translucent red color with bricking. Said to have been splash double decanted & immediately recorked earlier in the day. This was perfectly resolved and "left nothing in the ring" tonight. My clear red of night! An explosion of garrigue and decaying fruit on the nose. Elegant, fading red fruit, damp forest floor, herbs, tobacco leaf and more. Tremendous tertiary depth! Thanks Candice for finding recently and sharing! This btl proves that a few great CDP producers like VT wines can benefit from extended btl age. Worth seeking out some of these from the 90s & 80s.
