Tuesday, January 23, 2024 - The caramel color hinted at what to expect, but undersold this beautiful bottle. The nose was an immersive experience in a baking spice cabinet, with lingering notes of caramel, sugared-plums, figs, vanilla and more cinnamon & nutmeg! When I could pull myself away from the glass and actually taste it, the cascading rich notes of fruits and cake were heavenly. Some acid helped to keep this clean and elegant, such that it didn't end up being cloying or heavy in the least bit. 129 years of near-perfection. Thank you, Ryan!
