Saturday, January 14, 2012 - I have no idea how this wine will age but now it is dominated by sweet american oak notes of coconut. Super ripe with ample fruit it also has a medicinal band aid aroma within the limits of acceptability. With airing some notes of coffee, cocoa and chocolate emerge. Palate is full with firm tannins, good acidity, and goes down very easily without being heavy. On the other hand this blockbuster style with so heavy use of oak is not exactly my cup of tea...but no complaints either!
