Friday, February 18, 2005 - Medium garnet core, medium mahogany/tawny rim. Medium intense developed bouquet of stewed strawberries, vanilla spice with leather and vegetal hints. There is some residual sugar evident on entry, medium + acidity, with lovely soft tannins coating reasonably intense ripe strawberry fruit with spice and vanilla notes, and a good length, well balanced finish. There is also a hint of almost pinot-like game here. Very nice wine, probably at its peak.
