Wednesday, May 4, 2005 - Purchased directly from winery and properly stored since purchase. Purple in color - a little browning on the edges. Nose - open, with notes of plums, prunes and chocolate. On the palate, prunes and plums again, with the pruney flavor overshadowing the rest of the fruit - has a "thick" feel - not in a good way. Finish fairly short - tannins present, but just barely. Overall, wine still enjoyable, but seems past its peak tonight.
