Friday, December 24, 2021 - Fantastic Italian wines. Absolutely food-friendly. We started with a powerful and young 2007 Paolo Bea Montefalco Sagrantino Pagliaro. Deserves a few more years in the cellar Then a mesmerizing 2008 Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco. WOTN. Third time I drink this wine. Again spectacular. Finally, one of my favorite producers. 2010 Cavallotto Barolo Bricco Boschis. Stunning vintage, but this one right now, is beautiful monolith. Forget it in the cellar for the next 10 years at least. I've drunk this wine twice: 2015 and 2017. More effusive both times
