Friday, March 31, 2023 - Aromas of dark fruit waft up upon opening and continue into the glass. Concentrated flavors of cassis, plum and blueberries. Good acid, balanced. Based on earlier notes, tannins have softened but are not disappearing. Those holding this in well kept cellars should ignore drink by dates of 2016 or 2017. This is drinking well now and should continue at least to the end of 2024. But have at it soon. I doubt that it’s getting better.
