Saturday, November 27, 2010 - A gorgeous nose right out of the bottle but then took some nursing along during the course of the evening (still quite young). Layers of forward, sappy rich red and black fruits married to floral tones are featured on the nose and show wonderful purity and intensity. The palate bursts with overt spiciness and broad big black cherry fruit flavors, but are lifted by defined acidity, keeping it fresh and elegant. The finish is persistent, coating the mouth with mostly black fruits and tactile spiciness. When it opened up, it is quite generous and certainly much more grand cru than premier cru like. Very complete, very classy and a joy to drink!
