90 Points

Sunday, September 2, 2007 - Another back vintage L d'Or as fresh as a current release, though this actually seems rounder and less acidic than most. The usual expected brilliance with oysters on the half-shell. Definitely one of the most slam-dunk milk-and-cookies, peanut-butter-and-jelly matches in all of wine. Even the oysters themselves don't taste as much like the sea as the backdraft of this wine immediately afterwards. For that one fleeting moment you feel like packing your bags, buying a boat, growing a beard, and living a life at sea.
