Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - This was poured at a local restaurant after 45 minutes of decanting time. It was also drank after a bottle of SQN Grenache (Upside Down) was finished. The wine was good right away but it really changed and opened up after an hour and a half in the glass. Very clear and purple in colour. Tons of mixed spices on the nose including some cinnamon. When tasting, this wine had just the right amount of spices as well as dark berries. Strong in alcohol but not overpowering with a very good balance of acidity and tannins. This wine was wonderful tonight.
