Saturday, December 9, 2017 - Served blind and unmistakably Sine Qua Non. Definitely muscular but more approachable than it’s 2007 sibling. Tannins grip but the extraction and opulence of the fruit is present immediately. Deep medicinal notes of plums, prunes, smoke, glycerin are nicely offset by fresh Notes of strawberry and wild raspberry. Needs 3 hours in the decanter to fully evolve. Drank from a magnum.
