Saturday, October 10, 2009 - Zinds come in so many incarnations. I am unsure of what the blend here actually is; but whatever it is it presents a tantalizingly complex, slightly sweet unctuous wine. The other notes are from three years prior and I suspect things have changed quite a bit. First the color is an intense golden yellow with even green glints in the light. Lovely. The nose is honeyed apricots yet with those petrol mineral undertones. Luscious on the palate with ripe fruit, honey, moderate acidity, oodles of minerality and a long satisfying finish.
