Sunday, October 9, 2022 - Beautifully aged Brunello with strong tertiary notes and traces of sweet, dark fruit. It’s certainly not the most complex Brunello (and I increasingly feel that the much heralded 1997 vintage cannot live up to all the laurels) but it’s nicely structured and very harmonious. No need to rush but no upside from here imho. Also did not need a lot of air to unfold.
