Saturday, December 2, 2023 - 1 hour decant, let it warm up a bit to 64 F. Medium garnet color with a slight bit of bricking. Blackberry fruit, a hint of acetone, a passing bit of earthy funk, a touch of barnyard that quickly passed on the nose. Elegant, well-integrated wine across the board at this point, still has a bit of acidity. Slightly sweet blackberry and cassis fruit on the palate, may be fading just a bit, but still assertive and pleasant. Notes of dried leather, cedar and a touch of dark chocolate. Lingering drying finish. Drink now.
