Wednesday, February 17, 2021 - Gevrey-Chambertin Neighbors: Combottes 1er Cru and Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru (Chicagoland IL): Old school Gevrey with some awkward structure but lots of power. Rich black plum and cherry, meaty character throughout, with tannins that aren't particularly hiding. Lots here, very engaging, even if not at all elegant.
