Friday, November 17, 2023 - Always a pleasure to return and taste my beloved Hacienda Monasterio. Made from a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% CS, aged for 19 months in FR oak, 60% new. Medium+ intensity aroma grows with time to layered notes of dried strawberries and cherries, tobacco, tar, pot puri, dry earth, hint of cassis. Medium+ body, elegant, rich and multilayered with deep smoky dried cherry and plum flavours, saline mineral notes, medium+ acidity, chewy fine tannins, long spiced finish.
