Thursday, July 17, 2014 - What a nice wine... served with spaghetti last night. At first we thought it might not matchup well; however, as it opened up, wow! Garnet in color, fresh smells of spring rain in a forest, barnyard, toast, and a cornucopia of tastes of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry with slight hints of nutmeg and chocolate. This is a near-full bodied wine that even novice wine drinkers would appreciate. Polished tannins, good acidity, producing very happy saliva with a very long finish. I can imagine it will be even better with a year or two more bottle age.
