Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - PnP at refrigerator temperature. Presents as a medium-gold color with no obvious sediment. The nose is subtle and complex, with aromas of chalk and ocean spray, a touch of honey-covered sawdust, and a spicy/savory undertone reminiscent of sage and white pepper. It seemed to change a little bit each time we picked up the glass. On the palate, it enters with a slightly woody flavor underscored by honeyed fruit. Medium, well-balanced acid kicks in on the midpalate and accentuates the flavors of sappy wood and herbs. The mouthfeel is very refined: round, smooth, but with a reasonable acidic backbone. It finishes medium(+) with some honey and sappy wood flavors.

It's hard to believe, but this low-priced 2010 offering seems to be drinking at peak right now. If you have one of these in your cellar, it's time to pop the cork! We will call this bottle "excellent," 92/100.
