Tuesday, November 1, 2011 - Tight at first, the finito opens up after half an hour to give the richest blackberry-cassis fruits I've tasted in a wine. Deep concentrated fruits, with a satisfying but not cloying sweetness, it has a good acidity to balance out all that jamminess. Still sweet, so it's not balanced like a top quality LH Riesling, but for a sweet wine, I can drink a lot more of this than most! Great fruit.

Didn't notice the oak some talked of, but I'll taste again later.
I'm enjoying this on its own, although I'm sure it'll go very well with dessert. Or cheese.

Day two, still good, and not much sign of the bitterness you sometimes get on the second day with dessert wines.
